Ed Grondahl, ATI executive wins Best
Presentation Award using PowerPlugs: Transitions.
Ed Grondahl is a PowerPlugs:
Transitions customer and happens to be the Vice President
of Product Marketing for ATI, the world's largest manufacturer
of graphics chips and boards. He was recently invited
to make a presentation at the System Builders Summit,
a conference attended by the buyers of the 120 largest
tier 2 PC manufacturers. Ed knew that this was an important
presentation for ATI. It was his chance to wow the attendees,
and potentially secure millions of dollars of new business
for his company. But he also knew the competition would
be intense. All told, he learned that there would be over
250 different people giving presentations at the show!
So he went prepared. He created a 30
minute PowerPoint slide presentation that was totally state
of the art. It had a great concept, all the right words,
and some very attractive graphics. But, what made it really
stand out from the competition was that it was ENERGIZING
to watch, thanks primarily to PowerPlugs:
Transitions' cool 3D transitions special effects and their
associated sounds effects, plus some very high energy video
clips.
Everyone loved it! In fact, several people came up to him
afterwards to ask him how he did it. (That's our favorite
part.) His favorite part was that he was actually given
a prestigious trophy for "Best Presentation by a Participating
Vendor" in the Hardware and Peripherals category. He gives
a lot of the credit to PowerPlugs: Transitions. We think that
is very cool. And guess what the trophy is made out of? Crystal!
We think that's cool, too.
